Cookies notice

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when a website asks your browser to remember a piece of information. Similar technologies (localStorage, pixels) can play the same role. This site uses a small set of them.
Types we use
Essential. Required for the site to remember your cookie choice and to keep basic navigation working. These do not profile you for marketing. The consent banner writes a brand-prefixed localStorage key so we do not ask again on every page load.
Analytics (optional). Only if you press Accept. These help us see which course and journal pages are opened, in aggregate. Rejecting analytics does not block courses, forms, or any other feature of the site.
Cookies and similar storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| systemtracebase_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics so the banner does not return every visit. | Until you clear site data (localStorage) | Systemtracebase (first party) |
| fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com | Loads the Cormorant Garamond and Outfit typefaces. May set cookies according to Google Fonts’ own policies. | As set by Google | Google Fonts (third party) |
| images.unsplash.com | Serves course, journal, and hero images. Unsplash may log requests; we do not control their cookies. | As set by Unsplash | Unsplash (third party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Rejecting leaves essential storage in place so we remember the rejection. You can also delete cookies and localStorage for this site in your browser settings, or use private browsing. Browser help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge explain how to block third-party cookies globally.
Third-party cookies
We load fonts from Google and images from Unsplash. Those providers may process your IP address and set their own cookies or logs. We do not read advertising identifiers from them. If you block third-party content, the site still works; type may fall back to system fonts and some images may not display.
Impact of disabling
Turning off optional analytics does not hide pages, break the contact form, or change course content. Blocking all cookies and storage may cause the banner to appear on every visit and may reset form success messages. Essential operation of the static pages does not depend on analytics cookies.
Changes
If we add a new cookie category, we will update this table and, where required, ask again. Questions: info@systemtracebase.digital.
